Sales Engineer

job summary:
Seeking a Sales Engineer for our Columbus, OH client!

- Act as a conduit between sales & product to best position our client's solutions for success and to shape future product requirements

- Manage and lead the complex technical sales process, from initial solution discovery, through proof-ofconcept, and proposal development Skillfully present the features of the platform, deliver use-case driven product demos, and expertly handle technical objections - Create reusable assets such as impactful presentations and scripts, competitive material, and reusable POC assets

- Rapidly respond to requests for information from prospects

- Perform installations and ensure a smooth transition from closed sale to product onboarding by working with the customer success team early and often

- Work closely with our client's Security Engineer to deliver prospect security assessments in a timely manner

- Help to craft sales strategies & tactics when appropriate

- Track and raise feature requests to Product Managers. Participate in product meetings, product planning and roadmap discussions to understand near & long-term product evolutions

- Demonstrate competency working hands-on during POCs; troubleshooting technical issues, using and configuring the the solutions to deliver actionable results, and working closely with the prospect and engineers to ensure successful POCs

- Develop empathy and rapport internally with colleagues, prospects and partners

- Constant education to the sales and marketing team about the client platform, keeping them up to speed on the latest features and how prospects can benefit from them

- Continually learn and update knowledge in quickly evolving core product areas, including Digital Loss Prevention, eDiscovery, Archiving, Records Management, People Analytics and Behavioral Intelligence

Qualifications

- 4+ years' experience in Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, or Product Marketing

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, persuasion, presentation and writing skills

- Experience scoping, managing and executing customer pilots and Proof of Concepts

- Natural leadership skills and ability to influence without authority

- Outstanding negotiation and problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet a business requirement with a technical solution

- Superior solution scoping abilities, using our existing solution and influencing new product development

- Experience with cloud business models and technologies desired. Understand technologies and processes used by enterprise IT organizations

- Resilience and ability to handle stressful situations effectively while managing several tasks and competing priorities

- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced startup environment with multiple roles

- Willingness to travel
