job summary:
Job Title: Accounting Assistant

Location: Chicago, IL

Contract: 6+ months

Pay Rate: $17-$20/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation of daily revenue exceptions as needed
  • Ensure manual AR billing is accurate and timely
  • Prepare write-offs for billing errors
  • Research and reconcile customer inquiries
  • Responsible for carrier payable analysis and co-ordination and resolution of issues
  • Improve processes by having a thorough understanding of all processes
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts
  • Utilize analytical tools to identify opportunities for cost savings / efficiency improvement
  • Ad hoc analysis utilizing in house systems and databases
Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • BS in Finance or Accounting
  • Broad knowledge of business processes and process mapping
  • Excellent verbal skills required
  • Strong Customer Service focus
  • Ability to assist and influence others
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and database analytics
