Payroll Specialist

job summary:
We have several clients looking to add to their payroll teams, at various levels. These are temporary and temp to hire roles, and are moving quickly If you are available to start a project immediately, please respond to me via e-mail, Sheridan.king@randstadusa.com. What will you be doing?

Responsibilities include but are not to be limited to:

  • Support the preparation and processing of bi-weekly and monthly in-house payroll for over 600+ employees; review and ensure accuracy of approved changes, updates and special payroll deductions.
  • Setup and audit of employee data
  • Ensure that employee changes are made on a timely basis
  • Research and resolve payroll problems and processing errors.
  • Partner with HR personnel to ensure timely resolution of employee payroll issues/inquiries.
  • Provide support to employees by responding to payroll related questions on an as needed basis.
  • Prepare period end payroll data and processing.
What do you need to have?

  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Microsoft Excel required and proficiency with other MS Office products
  • Must be familiar with multi-state payroll tax withholding
  • Able to maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee information
  • Familiarity with processing an in-house payroll, using a well-known software, ADP also helpful
