Essential Job Functions

  • Manage the activities of collection for domestic and international customers.
  • Communicate and work closely with customers to facilitate smooth and timely invoicing and customer payment processing.
  • Work closely with internal sales, operations and with strategic customers to closely monitor and facilitate timely cash payments
  • Manage and collect necessary data for management to support the evaluation of customers for the extension of credit within established credit policy.
  • Identify and analyze high-risk accounts, prepare monthly reports with recommendations to management for improving ongoing credit & collection management processes while maintaining customer relations.
  • Plan and maintain a program for the systematic follow-up and collection of receivables.
  • Oversee analysis of accounts receivable, aging of accounts to determine overdue accounts and collection procedures.
  • Handle special credit arrangements and problem collection accounts.
  • Facilitate timely and accurate processing of orders and invoicing of customers as needed to support accuracy and effective collection management.
  • Assure company-wide process compliance, and make process improvements for efficiency, control and effectiveness.
Experience and Education Required

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills both oral and written. (Invoice collection phone skills mandatory.)
  • Strong customer service abilities and attitude.
  • Sound research, analysis and reconciliation skills.
  • Proficient in analyzing customer financial statements.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues at all levels.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Credit & Collections Principles & Practices.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours as needed.
  • 7+ years' of Collections experience required.
  • Credit experience a plus.
  • Accounting experience a plus.
