Seasoned Collections Representative

job summary:
We have partnered with a stable healthcare company, facing exponential growth, in need of a Collections Representative to join their team on an ongoing contract basis.

In this role, your day to day tasks include:

  • Contacts customers to request payment of delinquent accounts, determining reason for overdue or nonpayment and review terms of service.
  • Notifies appropriate parties if customer fails to respond.
  • Records information about financial status of customers and status of collection efforts.
  • Prepares collections and agings reports.
  • Reviews payments and amounts paid to customer's account.
  • Researches customer claims of invoice payment and/or discrepancies.
As a qualified candidate, you will have:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent
  • One to two years related experience; healthcare or medical industry highly preferred, but not required
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of accounting functions, including calculations of payments, balance, commissions, etc
  • Exceptional customer service and communication
Conveniently located outside Boston, near Somerville, this position is easily accessible by the T and is right off 93. Plenty of parking available and centrally located to shops and dining.
