responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on support to the Finance Department and other operational teams for forecast and budget planning to include:
  • Development and support of tools and templates to help capture detailed level data for revenue and expense planning
  • Variance reporting to forecast, and analysis of prior period trends for baseline comparisons to support rolling forecast updates, and future planning
  • Periodic meetings with departmental leaders to review past and current performance, and to gather future business needs
  • Assist with preparation and development of monthly & quarterly reporting packages reviewed by senior management and the Board of Directors, in addition to Board of Director meeting materials including development of Excel-based and PowerPoint-based templates, discussion points or analysis
  • Support other FP&A team functions, including management reporting, and other strategic initiatives, as assigned
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis work to identify trends, determine areas of potential improvement, and recommendations for management
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or similar discipline required
  • A minimum 1-3 years of experience in finance, budgeting, forecasting, and/or financial analysis
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Proficiency with budget tools and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and master financial software tools to facilitate analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and effectively communicate
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity and high attention to detail
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to follow each task through to its completion; this includes the ability to digest large quantities of data in order to determine how certain trends and findings impact the business, and whether assumptions and formulas are working properly in order to ensure that the outcome of an analysis makes sense
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, necessary to work effectively with staff at all levels
  • Proven ability to build and maintain both intra-departmental and cross-functional relationships
  • The individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; highly energetic and able to thrive under pressure
