Benefits Administrator

A Global Manufacturing company has a need for a Benefits Administrator. The position is open due to a retirement in the Human Resources department. The Benefits Administrator will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources Manager in providing employees with information and services regarding benefits and HR policies.

Benefits Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Assist with administration for COBRA, FMLA, Medical Programs, Life Insurance, Long/Short Disability and Workers Compensation
  • Responsible for Affordable Care Act reporting requirements (1095C/1095B forms)
  • Assist with recruiting
  • Explain benefits to new employees
  • Instruction of employees to enrollment process
  • Provide weekly disability documentation to payroll
  • Update and file all employee training records for audits
  • Coordinate performance review process
  • Ensure all upcoming internal audits requirements are completed
  • Update job descriptions
  • Assist with facilities paperwork
  • Maintain FMLA files
  • Maintain list of medical benefit changes
  • Work with insurance company
  • Assist HR Administrator


  • BS Degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience with HR/Benefits
  • Knowledge of retirement plans/pensions
  • Experience with HR/Benefits systems, preferably ADP WFN
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Strong communication skills

Compensation: $60-70K depending on experience
