Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
As an accounts payable clerk, you will update and maintain records for over 100 existing accounts and assist with invoicing. You will work with vendors to resolve past due invoices and reconcile monthly statements with vendors. In addition, you will also process, review and assure that payments are sent, both internally and externally.
Accounts Payable Skills:
Paying vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments. Charging expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
