Clinical Transportation Logistics operations experience preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for all the day-to-day operations functions, including import, exports, warehouse, dispatch, transportation (internal and domestic) and drivers to ensure all shipments are efficiently processed, recovered and dispatched to meet time-critical schedules required by clients
  • Focus on operational excellence and controlling QA matters and CAPAs
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of KPIs, analysis of repetitive operational problems and development of
  • Defining and writing operational procedures and work instructions
  • Ensure adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements including TSA, Homeland Security, FDA, etc.
  • Drive high standards of health, safety, hygiene and security in accordance to company policy and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that communication within the team and with the branch and network is done in a proper and timely manner to enable other job functions to perform
  • Leading a large team managed by supervisors each of the vertical work steam
  • Coaching, training and leading staff and drive a culture of cross-functional collaboration
  • Liaise with customers on daily basis with the aim of developing the relationship, performance and customer satisfaction
  • The position extends to creating workable formal relationships with sub- contractors, handling facilities and overseas offices maintaining a clear communication line with other departments within the Marken network of offices.
  • Supplying customers with Marken Service information

Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years in the transportation/logistics industry
  • Experience in driving a large operations
  • Experience in driving the daily workload and performance based on data (shipment/milestone reports, KPI matrix etc)
  • Experience with airfreight operations, import/export operations and related regulatory requirements (TSA, US CBP, FDA etc)
  • The ideal candidate has experience from working in a GDP environment
  • Driving win-win outcomes in situations of conflict, escalations and customer complaints

Skills:

  • Experience in driving a large operation
  • Experience in driving the daily workload and performance based on data and performance KPIs (shipment/milestone reports, KPI matrix etc)

  • HAZMAT / IATA
  • TSA, CTPAT familiarity
