Insurance Administrative Assistant

job summary:

This position is for an Administrative Support candidate to work in the insurance field.

Job Responsibilities

  • Joining a team of 7
  • Invoicing, requesting insurance certifications
  • Performs miscellaneous clerical functions, including but not limited to, photocopying, faxing, scanning, word processing and filing.
  • Maintains frequent contact and correspondence with client's representatives and appropriate carrier representatives.
  • May assist client representatives with gathering of information for preparation of renewal specifications, transparency documents, proposals, and premium allocations.
  • Processes requests and answers inquiries regarding certificates of insurance.
  • Coordinates issuance of identification cards.
  • Prepares and issues invoices or prepares documents for centralized billing unit if applicable. Identifies and resolves billing problems.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelors degree
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
  • Insurance background
  • A licensed broker agent for Texas would be nice to have but nor required
