Duties & Responsibilities:

Human Resources Manager Job Responsibilities:

Maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Human Resources Manager Job Duties:

  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.

Skills required:

  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, planning, recruitment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff members
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to executive team
  • Excellent listening and retention skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Sage Business Administration Software preferred
  • Knowledgeable in administrative benefits and compensation programs
  • Quick to change and able to adapt as necessary
  • Excellent organization and management skills

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in HR, Business or Organization Development
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in this or related position
  • Specialized training in employment law, or HR related activity
  • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resource networks and organizations
