Established, highly regarded and well respected business advisory services firm is looking for an Advisory Services Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate should come out of a client service environment. Preferably from the Audit and Assurance, Transactions Advisory Services and or Mergers & Acquisition disciplines. The Advisory Services Manager will be responsible for working on client engagements within the scope of Internal Controls, Corporate Governance and Compliance, Corporate Transformation and Transaction Advisory Services. The firm serves a broad base of clients in various industries.

responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide interim financial assistance to medium and large public companies and private equity firms during critical times of need
  • Provide assistance/guidance on technical accounting and financial reporting issues, prepare pro-forma schedules for budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling and analysis
  • Provide legacy system support, internal audit recommendations, acquisition or divestiture support, and special project implementation
  • Review and advise on complex financial and operational transaction issues for clients and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare various pro-forma schedules to be included in the financial statement footnote disclosures
  • Deliver solution strategies, planning and compliance of financial due diligence transactions, in addition to the delivery of a broad range of business advisory services
  • Advise domestic and multinational corporations on the aspects of planning, structuring, and executing transactions of all sizes
  • Manage engagement deliverables, complete technical and strategic reviews to ensure quality control standards are met
  • Identify and evaluate financial and operational trends, demonstrate knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts, proactively communicate solution options
  • Convey subject matter expertise related to SOX-404 internal controls, technical accounting and financial reporting in addition to financial statement footnote disclosure.
  • Communicate value propositions, project workflows, due diligence findings and resource management

qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • BBA in Accounting; MBA Accounting or Finance /CPA is a plus
  • 5-7 years of experience; Big 4 public accounting and or combination of public accounting and large corporate accounting experience
  • Comprehensive technical accounting and financial reporting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform technical accounting research on purchase accounting transactions, corporate consolidations, business combinations, financial due diligence and creating opening balance sheets
  • Must be client service driven and deadline oriented
  • Demonstrate extremely high levels of written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be willing travel up to 40-50% domestically
