Business Development Manager - Global Logistics

job summary:
Our client, a leading international forwarder, has an opportunity for an aggressive self-starter who is a strong relationship builder, and, who understands the value of building long-lasting business relationships. This role will be a direct sales position (Senior Account Executive) to be based in Philadelphia, and will cover the Mid-Atlantic Area. The Business Development Manager will be will be focused on selling a full global forwarding solution including international air, ocean, and customs house brokerage. Preference will be given to a candidate who has a very background selling the Global Air Freight product.

Ideal candidates will have a solid 3 + years of proven sales ( client facing) experience in global forwarding. Must have a solid knowledge of clients in Mid-Atlantic market that import and export products globally. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, and the ability to deliver a compelling value proposition to prospect are key to this role. BA or BS degree preferred, problem solving and analytical skills related to logistics and customer service are also preferred.
