Director - Global Tax and Transfer Pricing

job summary:

Responsibilities

  • Global tax research and planning. Identification and implementation of strategies to minimize cash taxes and reduce effective tax rate. Development of cash repatriation strategies, including foreign tax credit planning.
  • Assist with transactional tax workstreams including diligence required for acquisitions as well as tax and business analysis for divestitures and restructurings interacting with other corporate disciplines including legal, treasury and accounting.
  • Review and direct preparation of all transfer pricing calculations and documentation/reports including management cost allocation, tangible property transactions and intangible property transactions.
  • Assist with all aspects of the global income tax reporting function, including both domestic and international tax provision, external reporting related to income tax accounts, and working with external auditors to reach resolution on tax provision issues. This includes the tax accounting and reporting (ASC 740) impact of tax planning strategies and transactions, effective tax rate reconciliation, purchase accounting, tax basis balance sheets, return to provision reconciliations, FIN48 reserves, APB23 assertion, valuation allowance assessment, and state income tax accounting matters.
  • Work as an integral part of the Finance team with Accounting and Treasury professionals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience.
  • Combination of Big 4 and multinational corporate experience required.
  • Experience with ASC740
  • Strong systems knowledge.
  • Experience managing a team of professionals.
