Ancillary Coordinator

job summary:

Coordinates and controls the workflow occurring in and out of the department. Tracks and reviews contracts and credentialing information within the unit. Coordinates with other functional departments as required.

  • Reviews contracts, addendums and amendments for completeness and appropriate approval and signatures.
  • Ensures credentialing information is complete based on the requirements of the specific provider type.
  • Audits contract pricing and configuration to ensure the terms of agreement have been loaded accurately.
  • Updates systems with contract with correct naming convention.
  • Works with internal and external partners to resolve issues concerning contract loads.
  • Tracks re-credentialing and vendor roster requests coming into the department.
  • Researches and resolves routine provider operational issues with internal and external partners.
  • Troubleshoots claims issues with internal and external partners.
  • Oversees the monthly receipt of Third Party Vendor files.
  • Elevates and works with Vendor Account Managers regarding member calls concerning eligibility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

qualifications:

Education:

Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • additional 1+ year of experience in a managed care environment with a focus on provider relations, configuration, credentialing, vendor oversight, vendor auditing or related ancillary experience

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in a managed care environment with a focus on provider relations, configuration, credentialing, vendor oversight, vendor auditing or related ancillary experience
