HR Integration Project Manager

job summary:
PRIMARY CHARACTERISTICS

  • Facilitates the management of activities associated with the execution of pre-defined business objectives.
  • Responsible for the research and collection of requirements from business owners and delivery and execution against a project plan.
  • Leverages project management processes and methodologies, and consults with other project managers, PMO Head or Work Stream Leads to make certain projects are delivered by high quality standards and meets customer expectations.
  • Leads/drives change throughout the organization via the development and execution of strong project plans.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitates the driving of change efforts for HR through effective stakeholder engagement, scope identification and development and project execution.
  • In partnership with the HR PMO Head and Work Stream leads, leads the development of project scope, plans for tracking to deliverables including identification of and managing risks, issues, decisions, interdependencies, and follow up actions, leveraging appropriate templates provided by the Transition Project Office (TPO).
  • Facilitates project team meetings; manages agenda and key decision documentation for all meetings; maintains record of discussion, key decisions, and action items and updates the project plan.
  • Facilitates work sessions ensuring solutions are developed, actions identified and deliverables are met.
  • Monitors project requirements daily and updates all documents relative to decisions made, actions, risks and issues (RAID, project plan, Target Operating Models, etc.)
  • Assists with monitoring program financials and provides necessary information for financial approvals and reporting, up to and including work supporting the HR Business Case.
  • Produces reports that show progress, ownership of tasks, etc. that can be used as reminders/ticklers for leads/owners.
  • Sets up reminders and/or customized solutions to ensure accountable owners stay on top of tasks to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Works to understand and anticipate stakeholder needs, influence the direction forward, and presents alternative business solutions, leveraging assistance as needed from other project managers or the PMO Head.
  • Leveraging leadership skills, facilitates discussions, identifies solutions and influences resolution of issues.
  • Addresses and resolves issues by partnering with work stream leads and PMO Head as needed. Serves as a leader to ensure issues/risks/obstacles are addressed in a timely manner to positive outcomes.
  • Serves as back up on maintenance of Transition Program/Delivery site documentation for Human Resources including requesting appropriate access, version control, organization of appropriate files/folders, updating documents and monitoring site for accuracy and archiving dated items.
  • Identifies and develops strategy for changes in scope, schedule, and cost.
  • In partnership with other project managers, creates implementation and transition plan, identifies lessons learned, and applies the lessons learned to the project.
  • Serves as a backup to the other project managers in set up and facilitation of working sessions to ensure adequate time/resources for meeting deliverables
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong facilitation and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead meetings, course correct and stay on track. Ability to read the room and adjust as needed.
  • Has strong command skills; can easily lead a group of SME's through a discussion to come to appropriate conclusions, including in face of adversity and / or disagreement.
  • Strong communications skills; ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms; read the audience and adjust communications appropriately.
  • Ability to take things up a level to ensure all understand the bigger picture/over arching objective/goals of the work effort and how it influences the success of the integration.
  • Strong tactical and execution skills; detail orientation and follow up skills are critical.
  • High comfortable level with project management principles and processes.
  • Very detail oriented; strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Share Point, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyze data and present findings to various stakeholders.
  • Strong business process acumen.
  • Independent, self-starter.
  • Strong project management/coordination skills.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree, required.
  • At least 7 years of project management experience leading medium to large scale projects and/or programs.
  • Certified Project Management Professional, desired.
  • Experience working with HR / Talent Acquistion / Talent Management / HR Data is desired. 25% travel required.
