Warehouse Manager

Randstad Finance & Accounting is looking for a Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Liquor Storeroom/Receiving and Purchasing Department, maintain department staffing levels, and create and enforce department and Company policies and procedures.

Duties:

  • Motivates, trains, and leads the Receiving Department staff to establish a positive, safe work environment. Coordinates and implements training criteria and classes with vendors, Health Department and Safety Manager for proper receiving techniques in quality control (i.e. produce, seafood, meat, dairy etc.) and pallet jack/equipment certifications.
  • Oversees daily operations of the Liquor Storeroom/Receiving and assists in day to day Purchasing requirements.
  • Creates, follows, and enforces all department and Company policies and procedures
  • Performs scheduled employee performance evaluations for Receiving Staff.
  • Performs quarterly surveys/analysis of department performance
  • Input updated Monthly Liquor bids as soon as received in Purchasing System, new bids should be completed within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Handles daily requests from departments for day to day operating supplies to include sourcing (acquiring 3 bids for anything over $1,000 per purchase), creating purchase orders and communicating back to end users of status.
  • Responsible for distribution and input of month end inventories for all inventoried areas. Submits inventory reconciliation reports, detail cost by outlet reports and overdue purchases reports to Accounting per the closing schedule provided each month by the Controller.
  • Responsible for identifying and correcting any variances at month end within the Main Beverage, General Storerooms and all storage areas managed by Purchasing Department.
  • Manage and maintain storeroom inventories (daily ordering).
  • Responsible for weekly updates of overdue purchases. Submit log to end user for verification of receipt of goods or cancellation and update Purchasing System accordingly. (weekly task)
  • Ensure daily invoices are received in system and follow thru of discrepancies. (i.e. no purchase order, pricing, quantity, confirming purchase orders) are completed in a timely manner.
  • Link and add all new food and beverage product in Birchstreet daily.
  • Prepares weekly staffing and business related scheduling
  • Assists the Receiving and Accounts Payable Departments with daily inquiries, discrepancies and inventory reconciliations, investigate and approve (initials) all invoice discrepancies.
  • Daily review and sign off of Daily Receiving Log (Reconciliation Report).
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating "Green" initiative project and reporting to Corporate Office.
  • Assist with training new staff members on Purchasing System Birchstreet.
  • Responsible to ensure Receiving Dock and Liquor Storeroom are compliant with Health Department and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintains a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with staff, co-workers, senior management, and outside contractors
  • Answers all phone, written, and direct inquiries/requests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Performs additional tasks or assignments as directed by the Director of Purchasing.
  • Reports all equipment malfunctions or unsafe working conditions to the appropriate repair service
  • Participates in Company sponsored classes to upgrade skills that will enable the individual to manage additional responsibilities.
  • Conducts placement interviews, initiates the processing procedures, and establishes training criteria
Requirements:

  • Minimum five years previous Warehousing experience in a managerial capacity Previous experience supervising 5 or more employees
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Birch Street Purchasing System
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
