Financial Analyst

job summary:
This person will work directly with the VP, Director of Underwriting, Underwriters and Asset Managers to ensure that the company's policies, asset plans and financial objectives are being met. Recent grads only!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor the progress, timing and economic performance for a large portfolio of development-oriented investments.
  • Monitor and project loan draw and capital call activity.
  • Develop, analyze and maintain complex asset and portfolio level cash flow models in Excel to forecast project and economic returns
  • Monitor and manage partnership and loan agreements (including covenants and balancing provisions) for debt and equity providers.
  • Prepare periodic project updates and reports for internal and external use.
  • Make recommendations to the the Management Team for items relating to capitalization/re-capitalization, cash flow projections, budgetary and compliance matters, economic returns, etc.
  • Assist the department in presentations to internal staff and external capital partners
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

  • Must be a process-oriented and systematic thinker, with the ability to digest and manage complex financial structures and terms over a large portfolio of assets.
  • Must be a proficient problem-solver.
  • Must have an understanding of typical partnership and real estate loan agreements.
  • Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, pressure-oriented and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Must have a Bachelors' Degree from an accredited institution
  • Must be highly skilled in creating, modifying and reviewing dynamic Excel spreadsheets used for cash flow forecasting, budgeting and economic benchmarking purposes.
