Financial Business Consultant - Job Duties:

  • Review in detail financial statements of investment companies prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SEC Regulation S-X and related notes, schedule of investments, SEC filings and all supporting schedules and back-up.
  • Address inquiries of auditors and clients related to financial statements and year-end audits.
  • Subject matter expertise of mutual fund accounting and financial reporting is preferred with relevant industry experience including review of investment company financial statements.
  • Feedback on how to better a process is always encouraged but needs to be managed as quality of reporting and meeting deadlines is the
Job Requirements:

  • Applicants with a strong background in corporate financials/accounting will be considered.
  • Candidates will work in a team environment working on one or multiple clients depending on the exact assignment and will be given exact deadlines to be met in order for the team to meet final client deadlines.
  • Candidate should be flexible and willing to step in to help on various projects during the assignment.
  • Candidates will need to be able to adapt to a range of duties from preparation to final review of a project.
  • Candidates that cannot adapt from being in the details to stepping back and providing an analytical review are not preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to follow directions as set by the team.
  • CPA is beneficial as is previous experience.
