Contract Administrator - Worthington, OH

  • These are 3 contract roles expected to last 6 months.
Contract Administrator - Job Duties:

  • Responsible for researching, writing, filing, and implementing the most complex policy and certificate forms for group and individual major medical products, ancillary products, long term care products and HMO products.
  • Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Creates and maintains documentation for individual/group certificates/policies.
  • Works independently and with specialists, attorneys, and outside vendors to identify complex issues/solutions by analysis, testing and resolution.
  • Ensures products comply with state and federal laws. Files documents with state department of insurance for approval. Monitors state and federal legislation affecting company products.
  • Recommends compliance review processes and participates in compliance efforts. Provides primary compliance review of marketing materials and product advertising. Manages projects and/or participates in corporate initiatives. Administers the electronic publishing system/Access databases including technical direction of interface programs.
  • Compiles and analyzes data in support of contract development: analyzes state and federal legislation; identifies new legislation that affects company products; researches regulatory issues; recognizes the absence of critical elements of information; perceives ambiguities or contradictions requiring clarification; converts legal information into easy-to-read narrative; corresponds with state insurance departments, internal clients, and others.
Job Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS in a related field
  • 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Compliance and Contract experience preferred but not required.
  • 5+ year's Life & Disability experience [sales, underwriting, implementation, enrollment and billing, customer service or claims; Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Compensation: $33.03/hr

responsibilities:








Responsible for researching, writing, and implementing the most complex policy and certificate forms for Life & Disability group and indemnity products. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Creates and maintains documentation for group policies/certificates. Administers Life & Disability products through the electronic publishing system and an Access database. Works independently and with underwriters, implementation coordinators and administration, specialist, attorneys, and outside vendors to ensure products comply with state and federal laws. Participate as a Subject Matter Expert [SME] in projects and in corporate initiatives. May compile and analyze data in support of contract development/complex issues/solutions by analysis, testing and resolution.



 
qualifications:
BA/BS degree - Compliance and Contract experience preferred but not required. - 5+ year's Life & Disability experience [sales, underwriting, implementation, enrollment and billing, customer service or claims; - Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. - Must have attention to detail. - Must have strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. - Must have the ability to use admirable and independent judgement and work under general directions.
