Treasury Clerk

job summary:
  • Manage banking relationships, including monitoring the quality of current services as well as evaluating, selecting, and implementing new products and services
  • Participate on treasury or corporate and cross-functional initiatives involving banking, funds movement, cashiering policies, procedures, and systems
  • Work with Corporate Vendor Management and legal counsel to complete risk assessments, due diligence, and negotiate agreements with banks
  • Analyze and present to management the impact of various projects and proposals to the firm's cash flows, profitability, financial controls, operational risk, and banking relationships
  • Support strategic priorities by implementing efficient and cost effective banking arrangements and strategies that support spectacular customer service while managing risk and maintaining adequate controls
  • Manage and analyze the firm's vendor bank compensation including budget variance analysis, error resolution, and annual planning
  • Bank system user administration oversight
  • May participate on other Treasury or Corporate Finance projects involving capital and liquidity planning, credit, risk management, investments, borrowing, and financial analysis
Qualifications

  • College degree in business, finance, or accounting or equivalent
  • 5-7 years in finance, operations, project management, or banking
  • Knowledge of treasury cash management, payment systems, banking systems, treasury best practices, accounting - CTP credential is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to interact effectively with management and external bank contacts to resolve problems and propose new business practices
  • Strong problem solving, organization, negotiation, and relationship management skills - Strong listening and oral I written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
