job summary:
Our client, a SaaS provider in global supply chain, has a key opportunity in the NY / NJ area for a Senior Director, Product Management who can effectively define, design and implement new product functionality as well as effectively integrate products with external partners and client environments within the forwarding / transportation sector. Key to this role is identifying candidates who are experienced in launching multiple SaaS products using Agile Methodologies.

We seek an industry expert who can effectively lead in the definition, and design of new applications and enhancements to a suite global shipping products, as well as support the implementation and deployment phases of these new product lines. Responsible for conceptualizing and implementing the global roadmap logistics solutions, the Senior Director will evaluate new product line opportunities via customer market research, competitive analysis, industry trends, and business factors in order to make product recommendations and define key changes to ensure continued market leadership. The ideal candidate will posses experience in Supply Chain Collaboration. This position requires close interaction with all involved in product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full P&L for Product Line ensuring product achieves margin/profit objectives.
  • Lead Product Vision and Strategy Development and Product Roadmap
  • Develop and manage pricing structures to meet revenue goals.
  • Become the subject matter expert in the products business areas
  • Lead conceptualization through launch creating actionable plans, work streams and taking products to market
  • Maintain oversight of market analyses to provide current market requirements to meet client
  • Conduct regular customer and market research with prospects and clients.
  • Oversee and assess product positioning, competitive analysis, trade-off analysis, as well as product launches.
  • Establish strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to ensure usability, adoption, and satisfaction.
  • Assist in development of product strategy and adjacency analysis to expand product opportunities and revenue growth.
  • Develop business cases.
  • Preparation of business requirement documents, along with business use cases and workflows, for hand-over to business analysts and product development (IT) team.
  • Establish consistent and effective communication channels with key constituents..
Requirements:

Ideal candidate will have ten + years of Product Management leadership experience in a web-based environment overseeing product management Must be well-versed in global supply chain; the preference would be for someone with Business Process Management, Business Intelligence, Analytics, High Volume Transactional, or Financial Systems. Must be experienced with competitive analysis, as well as launching, conceptualizing, expanding and reposition several product lines. Must be technically astute and have strong organizational skills to oversee complex products. Knowledge of SaaS based product development, and proficiency in Jira, Excel, or Confluence. MBA preferred, but not required. B.A. or B.S, in Business Management.
