Summary: Responsible for developing and managing a branch operation that increases sales, profitability, market share, and member and employee satisfaction by directing, coordinating and monitoring sales, branch operations and personnel development. Directs, supervises and coordinates the work of assistant managers, platform, receptionists and tellers of a full service branch whose focus is lending; membership growth, training, people development; service and sales management. Position is responsible for the general supervision of day-to-day activities of staff and implementation and adherence to branch policies, procedures, Guiding Principles and federal regulations.

responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Management and Supervision: Provide for an adequate work force and their development. Provide direction to Assistant Branch Manager in the assigning and scheduling of personnel to ensure efficient performance of work. Responsible for meeting goals assigned to each branch generally consisting of loans, VISA's, new members, payment protection and mortgage referral scorecards. Ensure quality work standards are maintained.

Sales Management: Plan and direct activities to promote efforts to meet our mission of empowering members to build wealth through service and sales/meetings, tracking, coaching and follow up.

Coaching: Provide coaching to members of staff to develop skills and experience via completing or facilitating observational coaching, recommendations for additional training, and inspection of work produced.

Productivity and Communications: Conduct or facilitate operational meetings, as appropriate. Facilitate Branch Operations staff meetings to provide support and assistance in resolving day-to-day problems and implement policies and programs. Make recommendations on the improvements of operations, member relations, budget planning and Branch Operations objectives.

Branch Operations and Security: Provide for an accurate completion of all Teller summaries, cash management, accounting sheets, and the maintenance of a variety of records, reports and statistics concerned with operations, equipment and personnel. Ensure the security of the Branch, personnel, its financial transactions and assets.

Personnel Management/Training and Performance: Direct, assist, coach, and train subordinates regarding policy, procedure (operational and security) and sales strategies. Appraise performance; recommend development actions and discipline, as required. Create and maintain an atmosphere of open communications, good employee and member relations, efficiency and productivity.

Business Development: Develop and promote business via various means including involvement in community associations and business associations.

Other : Perform other related duties as assigned or associated with the responsibility.

Qualifications:

LEADERSHIP: Strong leadership, motivation and managerial skills. Must have a professional demeanor. Demonstrate integrity and ethical standards. Demonstrate understanding and application of effective selling strategies and techniques.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree, preferred or equivalent experience in financial services.

EXPERIENCE: 5 to 7 years financial institution experience in branch operations and management, including 3 years of supervisory experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of financial institution office procedures, commercial mathematics, and bookkeeping. Familiar with branch operations and management, bank administrative procedures, business computer operation (including PC skills), compiling, verifying and documenting financial transactions; also requires knowledge of credit laws and regulation; supervisory, analysis, human relations, communications and organization skills; the ability to handle a fast paced environment and make decisions.
