responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

  • Manage all payroll functions (Kronos Time and Attendance, Ceridian Tax Service, UltiPro Web Application) to ensure complete and accurate processing of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for exempt and non-exempt employees
  • Comprise an Exceptions Report after each payroll cycle
  • Verify, set up and maintain all federal, state and local garnishments
  • Responsible for adherence to all governmental reporting and regulations and maintenance of sound control processes to protect company assets and advise Management of needed actions
  • Set up new states in UltiPro that meet payroll related state requirements
  • Manage regular preparation of relevant payroll reports for Senior Management, Human Resources and Finance departments as well as governmental agencies on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or year-end basis as applicable
  • Generate various payroll reports for accounting purposes in Excel, Word and Cognos Report Writer
  • Work with the Risk Manager on Worker's Compensation audits
  • Maintain employee confidence by responding to employee payroll-related questions and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Initiate and control efforts and procedures to maintain data integrity. Identify key and/or recurring issues, and work to resolve through training, configuration, and/or policy and procedural solutions
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-8 years of multi-state payroll experience running payroll for 1500 or more employees and multiple payrolls
  • Ultipro experience required
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects related to resolving priority user issues
  • Ability to discharge tasks effectively under intense pressure and attain targets
