Legal Recruiting Coordinator

job summary:
The Legal Recruiting Coordinator (LRC) is a member of the firm's Human Resource department with an emphasis on legal recruiting. The LRC will coordinate and administer firm-wide recruiting and summer associate programs, associate professional development programs, assist with recruiting and interviewing for non-attorney positions, and otherwise support the firms' Human Resource initiatives.

Recruiting

  • Become familiar with and stay current on trends in legal recruiting
  • Establish and maintain contact with Career Service Departments at selected law schools
  • Function as the HR/Recruiting representative to the diversity committee
  • Network with Legal Recruiting Departments at other law firms

Recruiting

  • Become familiar with and stay current on trends in legal recruiting
  • Establish and maintain contact with Career Service Departments at selected law schools
  • Function as the HR/Recruiting representative to the diversity committee
  • Network with Legal Recruiting Departments at other law firms
  • Responsible for the coordination and implementation of all initiatives related to the recruitment, retention and promotion of diverse lawyers.
  • Plan and execute internal and external diversity events and programs.
  • Work independently to support and drive forward strategic initiatives.
  • Build and foster working relationships with diversity and inclusion recruits, lawyers, and staff contacts.
  • Ability to work across functions to synthesize diversity within broader Firm framework.
  • Handle diversity related sponsorships.
  • Develop and track diversity budget.
  • Benchmark best practices to identify new ways of advancing diversity.
  • Provides administrative support for new and ongoing diversity and inclusion programs.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
 
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required

A minimum of four (3) years of experience, preferably in law firm or other professional services firm

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong team player with consummate client service skills
