Accounts Payable Specialist - Job Duties:

Fortune 100 healthcare Services Company is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant. The Accounts Payable Accountant will handle invoice resolution which requires research, internal and external customer service contact, including with the vendors.

  • Partner with other AP associates, customer service reps, sites, and departments as needed for root cause analysis.
  • Propose ideas and solutions to prevent future delays in payment.
  • Responsible for a large volume in connection with over 500 medical practices and over 2,000 vendors.
  • Handle reconciliation of previous balance and vendor statements.
  • Performance is continually measured by metrics and quality.
  • Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Provides a comprehensive and thorough response to customer inquiries, achieving high level of first call resolution within established SLAs.
  • Analyze and identify root cause problems in order to develop an action plan to resolve them. Actionable plan may include training customers on process and procedures; identify and evaluate process improvements; engaging with different departments in order to resolve problem (problem solving).
Job Requirements:

  • Preferred Working knowledge of Workday, Kronos, and ADP garnishments and banking.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 3 + years in accounts payable required
  • Advanced Excel is required
  • PeopleSoft and Image Now systems experience preferred
Compensation: $20.00-$22.00/hr

responsibilities:
Position Summary

Responsible for performing one or more of the following activities: processing new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, computing and processing time sheet data, rate changes, retroactive adjustments and special pays; maintains vacation, sick leave and worker's compensation records; compiles reports on base and premium pay; posts entries to journals; prepares tax deposits and reports; generates checks; and researches and produces special reports.Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. Provides a comprehensive and thorough response to customer inquiries, achieving high level of first call resolution within established SLAs. Analyze and identify root cause problems in order to develop an action plan to resolve them. qualifications:
4+ years of payroll experience required

Payroll experience in : Complex earnings (examples Ex Pats, Stock Purchases, Relocations, Hypo Tax, Imputed Income, Deferred Compensation), payroll tax reconciliation and set up validation (states and locals), W2c processing and review, Garnishments (ADP Garnishment system), banking (ADP money movement system), verifications on employment notices.

Comfortable user of Microsoft Office 365 (strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required)

Familiarity with Payroll Systems: Workday and/or Peoplesoft is preferred.

Familiarity with Time Keeping System: KRONOS Version 8 is preferred.

PeopleSoft and Image Now systems experience preferred.
