In this newly created Accounting Manager role you will support the Chief Financial Officer while managing several accounting staff. Your duties will include serving as the primary point of contact for the accounting staff and oversight of the month-end close process for multiple entities, allowing the CFO to concentrate on strategic objectives to further grow the business. Additional duties include participating in the property budgeting and forecasting processes.
With over ten operating entities our client's business is complex, and the accounting department is extremely fast-paced and involves a very high volume of activity. People who perform successfully in this role could be promoted to a Corporate Controller position.
To be considered for this position you must
possess the following:
- Property accounting experience and knowledge of things like common area maintenance, tenant bill backs, understanding of lease agreements, etc.
- At least two years of experience managing at least three accounting professionals and the desire to mentor.
- A "can do" attitude - No negativity allowed here!
- Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) and experience using an integrated software package - Any large system will do, but experience with Timberline or Sage 300 is preferred.
