THE ROLE:

We are working with a leading property management company located in the South End who is seeking a talented Property Accountant to join their team. If you are an Accountant who has a thorough understanding of the accounting cycle for portfolios of condos, read on!

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Property Accountant, your day to day job responsibilities include

  • Process accounts receivable and payables
  • Reconcile bank statements, including real estate tax charges
  • Prepare journal entries and monthly financial statements, including variance analysis
  • Prepare annual operating budgets, analyze historic costs and project future cost trends
  • Collections pursuant to Mass General Law Sec 183a
  • Communicate with property owners, trustees, vendors, real estate agents, attorneys and others to resolve issues and answer questions
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:

The qualified Property Accountant will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field of study
  • 3-5 years of real estate accounting with a focus in condominiums
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Yardi, Deltek or similar ERP a major plus
