Member and Provider Communication Specialist

Job Summary

Oversees the timely development, management and optimization of member and provider materials (i.e. identification cards. member handbooks, provider directories and provider manuals) for government-sponsored health plans, ensuring compliance and data accuracy, achieving service excellence, and supporting growth initiatives. Collaborates with Shared Services and local markets to facilitate and support these initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes government contracts and marketing guidelines for information to develop member and provider materials.
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure member and provider materials are compliant and accurate according to government contracts and marketing guidelines.
  • Collaborates in the production of member and provider materials, including creating and maintaining project plans, versioning, vendor data testing and proofing.
  • Provides materials development status reporting to management and stakeholders on a routine and ad hoc basis.
  • Serves as a member and provider materials subject matter expert to partner and consult with stakeholders to strategize and plan the development of materials.
  • Represents the team/department in cross-functional meetings.
  • Functions as a brand champion to perpetuate corporate branding standards.
  • Supports new business development and expansion by developing member and provider materials. and preparing for/participating in RFP/ITN responses and readiness reviews as required.
  • Prepares for/participates in internal and external audits and accreditation efforts as required.
  • Helps create and maintain department/team policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and facilitates process improvement opportunities and proactively assesses for potential issues.
  • Participates in/contributes to key initiative projects.
  • Supports manager with the training and development of team members.
  • Serves as a mentor to team members.
  • Performs supervisory functions in manager's absence.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications

  • Education : A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, English, Health Policy and Management, Marketing or related field required
  • Work Experience : 3+ years of experience in communications development, implementation and oversight required. Other Extensive experience with member and provider materials and/or marketing (i.e. direct and online) required. Other Experience with a major health plan that operates government-sponsored plans preferred
  • Ability to drive multiple projects
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and management Advanced
