Duties include managing the accounting and finance functions while overseeing a staff of six. You will be required to participate in meetings with the CFO and various stakeholders both within and outside of the company. Technology is a vital component of this business, and you will be encouraged to use systems to improve operations and perform better analysis. In short, they wish to hire a "doer" and not a "follower."
So what are the job requirements? Qualified applicants will possess a combination of both public accounting and industry experience (ideally four to ten years) and MUST possess the CPA designation. You MUST have experience managing, leading, and developing staff (and be able to provide concrete, specific examples!) and overseeing the month end close process. Experience with software packages is required, and applicants should be well-versed in Excel (ideally vlookups, pivot tables, and macros). Lastly, you cannot "sweat the small stuff" and focus on the big picture!
This is a nice opportunity to work closely with a dynamic CFO who looks to staff for suggestions and does not micromanage! The salary range for this position is $140-150k plus bonus.
