POSITION TITLE: Branch Manager

LEVEL: 7 DEPARTMENT: Branches CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

SUMMARY:

Directs, oversees, and administers the operations of a branch. Ensures quality customer service standards are maintained according to the GUIDES expectations. Achieves branch objectives. Supports the strategic direction of the organization and communicates new initiatives/changes to employees in a positive manner. Manages, motivates, coaches, and supports branch employees and leads by example. Markets the bank's products and services to customers and identifies ways to deepen customer relationships. Opens accounts and takes loan applications. Responsible for ensuring that the branch staff are operating in compliance with security and operational procedures as well as other bank regulations. Develops and promotes good community relations. Flexible with schedule to insure appropriate staffing and effective branch operations at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

? Management:

o Exercises the authority of a manager concerning staffing, scheduling, performance management, training, one on one coaching, employee recognition and development. Ensures performance appraisals are completed and administered for each direct report in a timely manner. Ensures appropriate actions are in place if employee's performance is not meeting expectations. Keeps staff informed of branch manager meeting updates as well as any banking regulatory information or changes. Provides ongoing coaching to staff on identifying customer needs and deepening customer relationships.

? Customer Service:

o Manages expectations for exceptional customer service. Resolves customer inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively. Communicates Bank's position on regulations, policies and procedures in a positive manner. Focuses on customer retention.

? Operations:

o Directs, controls, and/or delegates the daily operations to include the management of security procedures, audit control, end of day reporting, physical branch maintenance, and adherence to policies and procedures. Assumes responsibility for proper branch opening and closing procedures. Runs teller window, as needed. Responsible for troubleshooting office equipment and other branch maintenance issues. Ensures proper branch records (i.e. teller and branch sheets, checks) are maintained for accounting and audit purposes. Responsible for ensuring that all staff adhere to policies and procedures and banking regulations to include Bank Secrecy Act, Reg CC, Privacy and Customer Confidentiality. Verifies Petty Cash. Holds supervisor override authority.

? Production:

o Markets the Bank's products and services to customers while providing product information. Offers guidance on all types of products including but not limited to checking, savings, CD's, IRA's and all loan products. Applies thorough knowledge of account parameters and regulations to the opening, servicing and maintenance of each account type. Strives to enhance and secure customer relationships with the Bank through meeting customer needs. Actively seeks continuing education to stay informed of new products and new regulations.

? Community Involvement:

o Creates a partnership with the community and with others in the Bank, promoting a positive image of the company.
