PAYROLL PROCESSOR

job summary:




We are currently seeking an experienced Sr. Payroll Processor. This position is responsible for ensuring salaried and hourly payroll is processed in accordance with the weekly and bi-weekly schedule. Position also addresses employee-owner payroll related questions and resolves payroll issues in a timely manner.



Responsibilities

  • Processing employee-owner paperwork including but not limited to direct deposit setup, W4 entry, transfers, and terminations


  • Imaging and indexing payroll related documents


  • Reviews and balances assigned weekly job site time batches for posting and reconciling


  • Researches and resolves payroll related questions and issues


  • Respond to and resolve employee-owner payroll and wage related inquiries


  • Process and setup assigned garnishments and other employee deductions and earnings


  • Apply company payroll policies and procedures


  • Weekly printing and distribution of checks and deposit advices


  • Act as back up for other payroll team members


  • Assist in other projects as requested












Qualifications











Education and Experience



  • Five years payroll experience in a multstate, high volume envirnment. Industrial background preferred.














Knowledge, Skills and Abilities







  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced multi-state environment


  • Basic understanding of multi-state payroll practices and laws preferred




  • Strong sense of follow-up and urgency
  • Working knowledge in Outlook and Excel
  • ADP Knowledge


  • Experience with Microsoft Access helpful


  • Experience with Viewpoint HR/PR helpful
