Senior Accountant

job summary:
Senior Accountant

We are looking for a highly skilled and Senior Accountant with excellent communication skills to join an employee-first professional services firm that focuses on accounting, estate planning and legal services.

Responsibilities:

- Manage cash needs of entities in the context of tiered ownership structures, including completion of monthly bank reconciliations

- Process invoices and other transactions via checks or wires, and deposit proceeds received from investments

- Coordinate and prepare investor capital calls/distributions, including allocation schedules, bank wires, checks, and similar documents

- Prepare client requested reports and summaries, both on a monthly and ad-hoc basis

- Interact with clients regularly and respond to all inquiries in a timely manner

- Maintain and organize documents for tiered ownership structures of investment assets, including partnership agreements, organization charts, and other documents

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Minimum of two years in an accounting role (private equity industry preferred)
  • Firm understanding of basic accounting rules and concepts
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong and professional communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
