job summary:
Payroll Coordinator

Transportation company seeking a Payroll Coordinator for a Contract to Hire position. Payroll Coordinator will be working within the Payroll team and will be working in a fast paced environment.

Payroll Coordinator Responsibilities

- Input weekly payroll data from driver timesheets into timekeeping software in a high-volume environment

- Process and manage new hires and all associated set ups in payroll system

- Work with program managers to resolve payroll input issues

- Communicate with employees who have questions regarding their hours and/or pay

- Gain understanding of timekeeping software and be a resource to accounting team and program managers to better utilize the system

- Assist program managers and other members of the accounting team by generating reports from timekeeping software

- Support the bi-weekly processing of payroll and tracking of accrual balances

- Assist in additional accounting and administrative areas as needed

Requirements

- at least 1 year of Payroll/Accounting experience
