Finance Manager

job summary:
Randstad Professionals is actively seeking a Manager, Finance - Billing for a company with local corporate operations.

This position will manage the billing function for the company and we are looking for someone who brings a strong understanding of the entire billing process from billable hours for employees through Invoicing / Accounts Receivable / Payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the development of short and long-term organizational planning and strategy.
  • Drives departmental initiatives to ensure long-term operational excellence.
  • Prepare weekly billing to ensure meeting customer expectations for timely and accurate preparation, creation, and distribution of invoices to customers.
  • Manage the processing and calculation of customer invoices consistent with company policies, procedures, and customer contracts.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for accurate and efficient invoicing, ensuring best practices.
  • Engage our clients as necessary on effective and efficient billing practices with the intent on simplifying the complete end-to-end process.
  • Team up with the Accounting Director to create Key Performance Indicators that can be used to measure the success of the billing process.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures for all activities.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between the billing function and internal and external customers.
  • Ensures all billing procedures comply with both internal and external audit requirements.
  • Assists in special projects as required.
  • Ability to drive client adoption of electronic data feeds between ECI and our clients.
  • Work closely with Accounts Receivable analyst to identify billing issues and swiftly adjust process as necessary.
  • Work with the Payroll manager to ensure the flow of data from the timekeeping system into the client billing system is timely and accurate.
Qualifications include:

  • 4-year college degree required.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience performing in and/or managing a client billing function required.
  • Demonstrated experience improving and optimizing a business process required.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Must exhibit the attributes of an "Ideal Team Player" by being Humble, Hungry, and Smart.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to work closely with other departments required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, share information broadly, and listen carefully required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office user (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • 3+ years managerial experience preferred.
  • Experience and competence in the use of integrated ERP software preferred.
  • Ability to handle fast paced environment with multiple priorities and constantly changing workload preferred.
