responsibilities:
  • Accountable for the administration of time and attendance system and non-exempt time imports including payroll file, running reports and PTO accrual exports
  • Manages and responds to escalated calls/requests from internal associates and managers with responsibility for advising and answering questions related to payroll and other human resources related services
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the areas of payroll and other administrative requirements
  • Create payroll import files for one time pay, deduction and hours adjustments
  • Identify process issues related to payroll and assist with research and resolution
  • Manages the severance payments
  • Identify and make adjustments to short term disability pay and deductions
  • Ensures the timely response and administration and follow-up on associate garnishments
  • Performs payroll testing for HRIS quarter releases and any other system enhancements
  • Provides guidance based on payroll/system rules and deadlines for PTO year end payout process
  • Create and update payroll and other HR Services instructional guides
  • Trains new team members on payroll process
  • Identify areas of process improvement and streamlined tasks related to the payroll function and recommend change in the design or process
  • Prepare ongoing and ad hoc reports as requested
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of year-end payroll activities
  • Understands and demonstrates company's core values
  • Performs other duties as assigned
 
qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail, follow up and problem resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) with ability to interact effectively with all levels through the organization
  • Ability to handle and support multiple internal customers while maintaining deliverables on all assigned initiatives
  • Must possess goal driven sense of urgency and customer service responsiveness, with ability to consistently meet or exceed deadlines on all projects and requests
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, service oriented environment
  • Strong analytic skills and proven experience in solving problems and identifying recommended solutions

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience processing multistate payroll
  • UltiPro Payroll system experience preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
