Senior Accountant

Highly-respected Professional Services Agency in San Francisco is looking for a Senior Accountant to handle corporate payroll, AP/AR and budget tracking. This person will work directly with the Controller and interact with all departments; strong social skills and adaptability desired. responsibilities:
Accounting - 95%

- Assist with closing periodic Financial Statements

- Corp Payroll: Prepare and send out for approval

- Benefits & Report Filing

- PTO Audit and Tracking

- Project Accounting & Billing: Handle the Special Client Invoicing & Project Budget Tracking Cycles with Accounting Team

- A/R Collections & Aging

- Commissions: Handle HQ Commission Reporting, Payroll, and Journals

- Auditing & Reconciliations:

o Credit Card

o Revenue Reconciliation

o Assist with Benefit Audits and Tax Filing

o Month-end auditing, reconciliation, JE & AJE prep & posting

o B.S. reconciliation

o Financial Managerial Metrics

o Assist with Ad Hoc auditing & reconciliations

- Monitor Accounting inbox and forward messages to appropriate person

- Answer Sage team questions (invoicing, payment status, collections, contracts, etc.)

- Online Cloud Applications involved: CRM/ATS, VMS, IQN, Paylocity, Bill.com, Box, Office 365, QuickBooks

Online, Smartsheets, Google Docs, Image Capture tools

Ad Hoc - 5%

? Assist with annual ACA compliance forms, 1095-C, & Form 5500

? Business Operations Filings, assist

? Assist with task list + complete assigned tasks

? May need to assist with: Management of employee benefit plans (consultant and HQ), Enrollment for new employees + annual open enrollment, HRA HCSO Quarterly Filing, Employment Verification

 
qualifications:
- 3-6 years' experience in general accounting, accounting management, senior accounting, project accounting, full-cycle AP, full cycle AR, payroll, invoicing, cloud applications

- Advanced financial excel skills and ease with operating cloud applications across many systems

- Maintaining and developing strong rapport with clients, employees, and vendors

- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred

- Strong business acumen and ability to prioritize multi-tasked responsibilities

- Excellent communication and written skills, professional demeanor, strong customer service

- Proven track record in generating a high-volume data processing with accuracy and diligence

- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion with a high level of integrity

- Exceptional follow-through and detail-orientation

- Energetic, positive attitude, eager to learn and a strong team player

- Passionate about being part of and contributing to the growth of a boutique agency

- Excel towards high productivity and problem solutions
