POSITION: Director, General Manager- Human Resources

A leader in high volume logistics and transportation, has a key opportunity in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area for a General Manager of Human Resources. This key position will be responsible for the operations orientation to the Human Resource activities and will bring leadership and direction to generalists and staffing specialists.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Core responsibility will be to oversee a team of generalists and to be involved in:

1) Payroll ( ADP Workforce)

2) Conflict Resolution

3) Evaluating and Enhancing HR processes and infrastructure for North America

4) Employee Benefits Administration

5) Creating Job Descriptions

6) Recruitment

7) Succession Planning.

The General Manager of HR will work in tandem with divisional managers to ensure uniform application and compliance with laws and regulations. HR Manager will assist management in human resource related planning, development, implementation and evaluation activities. In addition the HR manager will be responsible for effective utilization of employee resources and in interpreting Corporate policies. This position, which reports to the Chief Operations Officer is located at corporate headquarters. Must be multi-tasked and experienced in working within multiple disciplines. .

[REQUIREMENTS]

  • At least 10 years of HR Management experience to include managing HR within a large, multi-branch organization and within a highly competitive labor market
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP 401K, iPay and ADP Select or a similar technology.
  • Experience in negotiating for Employee Benefits and administering benefit program company-wide
  • Must have experience with terminations, invoicing, COBRA, and annual open enrollment.
  • Candidate must be knowledgeable of all Federal and State government payroll, labor, unemployment, disability, and HCRA Laws and regulations
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem solving skills. Bachelor's degree is preferred
