SUMMARY:

We are currently working with a national transportation company in Boston, who is looking to add a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team on a contract to hire basis. Located right Downtown, this role plays a key role in the HR Department to ensure a seamless process with HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding and interviewing in a high-volume, fast paced environment

THE JOB:

As a Human Resources Coordinator, your essential functions include:

  • Scheduling interviews for all positions, including union and non-union roles
  • Performing new hire orientations
  • Initiating skills testing for all candidates
  • Recruit and screen new applicants through the use of internal database, job postings, external job boards (Monster, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn) and job fairs
  • Perform reference checks, generate offer letters and update ATS with real time information
  • Local and regional travel may be required
THE CANDIDATE:

The successful Human Resources Coordinator will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business or similar
  • 1-2 years of Human Resources experience, including recruiting
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Exposure to a previous applicant tracking or human resource system is highly preferred
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for limited regional travel
