Overview

The Food Science Product Development Specialist will help guide and format food products, ensure quality, and help food scientists in product evaluation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support PD scientist in overall product development process for key product categories.
  • Project management including communication with internal & external partners
  • Work will involve:
  • Participating in cross functional team meetings
  • Record keeping and data analysis
  • Critical evaluation of products against project objectives, including assessments of key quality & sensory attributes & component breakdowns; documentation & communication of findings
  • Test Kitchen maintenance including, set up and clean up for experimentation and evaluations, including dishes
  • Sample management
Requirements :

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or directly related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of product development experience
  • Bakery, Dairy, or thermally processed food Product development experience preferred
  • Experience working with manufacturers in the commercialization of products preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal team members and external business partners
  • Creativity, critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem solving skills required
  • Fluent in MS Word, Excel
