Payroll Specialist

job summary:
* Tasks related to full cycle weekly and semi-monthly payroll operations and all associated tasks as required by company. Must possess full knowledge of payroll process and be able to complete all types of payroll tasks.

* Certified Payroll is a must

* Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiencies and effectiveness.

* Manage internal and external audits of information to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance and resolve audit discrepancies.

* Facilitate system upgrades, implementations, conversions, parallels/testing and ensure successful go-lives tax preparation and filing including reconciliations, deposits, quarterly and annual returns (federal, state, and local).

* Perform year end, W-2 processes and tasks.

* Collects and analyzes human resources and legal information, performs reconciliations, data entry in various systems, audits and updates information.

* Manage day-to-day eligibility for company, which includes submitting enrollments/changes/terms to insurance carriers as needed.

* Ability to be flexible to meet company expectations.

Knowledge and Skills:

* Demonstrated understanding of payroll best practices and regulatory compliance.

* Strong knowledge and experience in working with multiple payroll and benefit admin., HRIS related systems.

* Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with all data and sensitive materials.

* Must be detailed oriented, highly organized and execution skills required.

* Ability to meet assigned deadlines and work under pressure.

* Demonstrated ability to grasp and actively process complicated concepts and formulate strategies.

* Must have the proven ability to think critically, manage multiple tasks concurrently, and have a keen attention to detail.

What we are looking for:

* 5+ years of comprehensive payroll and benefits experience.

* Extensive knowledge of payroll systems

* Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
