Staff Accountant

job summary:
Staff Accountant

We are looking for a motivated and highly personable Staff Accountant to join a leading alternative investment firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Review monthly and quarterly reporting provided by fund administrator for multiple private debt funds
  • Prepare quarterly financial packages and audited financial statements for multiple private funds, both domestic and offshore
  • Prepare capital calls and distributions
  • Update cash sheets and pay invoices across multiple private funds
  • Work with loan operations team on investment closings, payment and interest reconciliations, and portfolio reporting
  • Communicate with auditors on internal controls and annual audit work
  • Prepare management and incentive fee calculations
  • Assist on tax work related to domestic-offshore structures, including coordination of federal and state payments with the tax advisor
  • Manage K-1 and tax estimate preparation
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA or working toward a CPA is preferred)
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in public accounting or in the financial services industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
