Healthcare Marketing Specialist

job summary:
  • Oversees the timely development. management and optimization of member and provider materials (i.e.. identification cards. member handbooks. provider directories and provider manuals) for government-sponsored health plans. ensuring compliance and data accuracy. achieving service excellence. and supporting growth initiatives.
  • Collaborates with Shared Services and local markets to facilitate and support these initiatives.
  • Analyzes government contracts and marketing guidelines for information to develop member and provider materials.
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure member and provider materials are compliant and accurate according to government contracts and marketing guidelines.
  • Collaborates in the production of member and provider materials. including creating and maintaining project plans. versioning. vendor data testing. and proofing.
  • Provides materials development status reporting to management and stakeholders on a routine and ad hoc basis.
  • Serves as a member and provider materials subject matter expert to partner and consult with stakeholders to strategize and plan the development of materials.
  • Represents the team/department in cross-functional meetings
  • Functions as a brand champion to perpetuate corporate branding standards.
  • Supports new business development and expansion by developing member and provider materials. and preparing for/participating in RFP/ITN responses and readiness reviews as required.
  • Prepares for/participates in internal and external audits and accreditation efforts as required.
  • Helps create and maintain department/team policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and facilitates process improvement opportunities and proactively assesses for potential issues.
  • Participates in/contributes to key initiative projects.
  • Supports manager with the training and development of team members.
  • Serves as a mentor to team members.
  • Performs supervisory functions in manager?s absence.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Communications. English. Health Policy and Management. Marketing or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in communications development. implementation and oversight. Extensive experience with member and provider materials and/or marketing (i.e.. direct and online).
  • Experience with a major health plan that operates government-sponsored plans.
  • Ability to drive multiple projects
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and management Advanced
