Staff Accountant (Construction)

job summary:
Multi-million revenue Real Estate Developer is currently looking for a a hands on General Ledger accountant focusing on the following areas:

Corporate Cost Accounting Responsibilities:

- Maintain Project Revenue and Receivable analysis.

- Coordinate with accounting manager and controller the reporting functions, including the preparation, analysis and interpretation of job costing facts and figures.

- Assist the controller with the monthly Job Cost Management Report.

General Ledger Responsibilities:

- Prepare general ledger and job cost entries including Fixed Assets Monthly Depreciation, monthly accruals, insurance premium allocation, taxes, financing amortization.

- Interface with ERP software system updates and maintenance.

Financial Responsibilities:

- Assist the controller with the Preparation Cash Flow Statement (actual and provisional forecast)

- Assist the controller with updating financial information.

Administration Responsibilities:

- Prepare monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet and Income Statements up to Trial Balance.

- Interface with Accounting and Project Control matters.

- Maintenance and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including Export Activity, financial loans, accruals, payroll taxes, Fixed Assets.

- Assist the controller with Insurance Broker for updating Policy information, Policy quotations.

qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a must
  • Real estate development
  • Proficient user of accountig ERP systmens and MS office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
  • Superb communication skills
