POSITION SUMMARY

The Tax License Administrator is a newly created position, responsible for the filing and maintaining current business licenses and permits for company-owned business locations nationwide and the necessary renewals each year and providing administrative support to the sales tax and property tax functions for monthly reporting obligations and payment of tax bills. The position will directly report to Sr. Manager, P2P Payables with dotted line support to Manager, Sales and Property Taxes.

responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Files and maintains business licenses and permits for all company-owned restaurants
  • Research requirements for business licenses for new locations and file applications where necessary
  • Prepares, calculates and processes business licenses and permits
  • Prepare check requests, file forms and pay fees
  • Print tax returns forwarded from remote service providers for review, signature by authorized signer(s), and prepare for mailing
  • Daily scan all tax bills received to remote service provider for immediate processing
  • Assist with AP uploads, AR billings as needed
  • Ensure timely payment of property tax payments, pairing AP check with tax remittance vouchers
  • Assist the tax department, as needed, with the monitoring of the compliance calendar
  • Perform backup AP department responsibilities as needed
 
qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in accounting preferred with 1-2 years of Business License or Tax experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing, fast paced corporate environment
