Payroll Specialist - Camden, NJ

  • This is a contract role expected to last 7 months.
Payroll Specialist - Job Duties:

  • Payroll operations, tax processing, garnishments, testing and general payroll operation support.
  • Review, audit payroll and all its components for US hourly and salaried populations, calculate if necessary for corrections and exceptions including next cycle and off-cycle checks
  • Audit and reconcile the payroll in accordance to established SOX and internal controls
  • Provide customer support to outsourced vendor and employees
  • Review, audit and troubleshoot challenges as it relates to the garnishment process (internal entry, submissions to agencies and third parties)
Job Requirements:

  • Full understanding of payroll operations relating to data entry, case management, audits, compliance, time and attendance.
  • Advanced knowledge for multi-state, multi- pay cycle fast paced environment
  • BS or BA with concentration in accounting, finance, or tax preferred
  • Workday experience preferred
  • ADP experience with vendor management
  • Tax filing experience, working with ADP
  • 5 years payroll experience
Compensation: $30.00-$34.00/hr
