Accounts Payable Manager North of Boston.

The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee staff responsible for managing all aspects of a full cycle AP function including timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments, auditing and processing employee expense reports and supervising AP specialists. This position will be responsible for the AP financial close as well as assisting with credit card program administration. This position will interface with external vendors and internal stakeholders and management throughout the organization.

responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of AP, ensuring that vendor invoices and payments are processed timely and accurately
  • Manage, train and mentor staff of 10 AP Specialists
  • Coordinate weekly check runs, review check / ACH batches and manage domestic and foreign wire payment process
  • Manage employee travel and expense reports; ensure expenses adhere to Company policy and payments are processed timely and accurately
  • Manage month- and year-end AP close processes including AP and T&E accruals
  • Internal controls compliance and respond to audit requests
  • Master vendor maintenance, W-9 documentation and annual 1099 reporting
  • Assist with credit card program administration for corporate card holders
  • Research and resolve outstanding AP balances and differences
  • Collaborate on implementing best practices and process improvements; other special projects as assigned
 
qualifications:
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or commensurate experience
  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Staff Management and development experience required
  • Experience using an integrated ERP accounting system
  • Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
  • Solid communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
