  • This is a contract role expected to last 11 months.
Marketing Data Analyst - Job Duties:

Our client's Project Nexus was created to build data-driven marketing capabilities across our Global Business Management (GBM) organization with the objective of providing robust customer data and insights for our marketing teams to execute campaigns and measure marketing's impact on sales outcomes.

Through collaborating with IT and Sales Ops, we have integrated our marketing system (Eloqua) with our sales system (Salesforce) and events platform (SplashThat). For our tech stack, Sales teams use Salesforce to generate the contacts for marketing to target. Our goal is to take that contact data and associate marketing interactions from events, email, paid, and organic search to create a full picture of a customer engagement across our channels.

With the data integrations in place, the GBM team now needs support in assessing the marketing channels data and contact data we are receiving to start generating insights around our audience and campaign performance

List of Marketing Channels and Systems:

  • Eloqua: Email system + central point for logging all marketing interactions
  • GBM own marketing website (sits on AEM)
  • Organic Social: Twitter (and regional accounts) & LinkedIn
  • Google Analytics
  • SplashThat: Events management system
  • Paid Ads: LinkedIn, Google Adwords, Twitter Ads
  • Salesforce: Contact data entered by sales teams
  • Flight School: Online learning platform for advertising agencies
Needing a strong data analyst with great analytical and problem solving skills and foundational marketing knowledge to lead a 4-6 week assessment of our Project Nexus data.

1. QA the data that we are collecting across all marketing channels to determine if there are any gaps in what we are collecting and measuring

2. Provide a comprehensive overview of all the available data and use it to evaluate major GBM marketing campaigns post-Nexus integration

3. Assess current marketing engagement levels against our named accounts list (NAL)

4. Establish a baseline report or dashboard using available data, provide recommendations for enhancements - including potential analytics tools and software - and suggest additional metrics for future iterations

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels, KPIs, and metrics including MQL & SQL models
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4-7 years of marketing analytics experience
