Manager, Business Development - Global Logistics

job summary:
Our client, a leading international forwarder, has an opportunity for an aggressive self-starter who is a strong relationship builder, and, who understands the value of building long-lasting business relationships. This role will be a direct sales position (Senior Account Executive) to be based in Cleveland, and will cover the Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Western PA region. The Business Development Manager will be will be focused on selling a full global forwarding solution including international air, ocean, and customs house brokerage.

Ideal candidates will have a soli 7 + years of proven sales ( client facing) experience in global forwarding. Must have a solid knowledge of clients in the Midwest market that import and export products globally. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, and the ability to deliver a compelling value proposition to prospect are key to this role. BA or BS degree preferred, problem solving and analytical skills related to logistics and customer service are also preferred.

Attractive compensation plan including base, commission (starts at day one) / bonus potential, medical/dental/life/ tuition assistance, company-contributed 401K, vehicle and expense allowance, Gas Allowance, Cell phone etc.
