Recruiting Coordinator

job summary:
Responsibilities: (similar to recruiting coordinator roles)

- Greeting newly hired employees and helping with onboarding/drug screening.

-The HR Assistant will meet with all of the newly on boarded team members who are supporting Amazon.

-The HR Assistant will be responsible for PowerPoint presentations (day and life of Amazon) and will be responsible for engaging associates.

-Typically HR Assistant will work with an average of 1-70 new hires during orientation sessions

-Administer drug tests (saliva) walking new hires through how to do it etc.

-Facilitating room with kits and responsible for sending off drug tests

REQUIRED SKILLS

Basic Qualifications:

· High School diploma or GED equivalent

· Comfortable speaking in front of large groups.

· Organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work in an environment with competing demands

· Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word

· Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (Salesforce preferred)

· Flexible, able to change direction quickly.

· Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and in dealing with ambiguity.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Preferred Qualifications

· Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills with an emphasis on tact and confidentiality.

· 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume administrative support role or equivalent, a plus.

· Prior working experience in the field of HR and/or Recruiting.

· Proficient with Microsoft Access

· Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required.

· Recruiting assistant experience preferred, professional services experience desirable.

· Bi-lingual (English and Spanish), preferred.

· Roll up your sleeves attitude with a sense of urgency, and a friendly, diplomatic demeanor.

· Problem solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently and drive them to closure with minimal supervision.

· Candidate will have a solid sense of accountability and acute personal judgment.

· Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues when appropriate.

· Team player, solid work ethic, willing to pitch in where needed.

Good Candidates will:

-need to have a staffing background or recruiting experience previously

-need to be comfortable and confident engaging with others especially face to face

Great Candidates will be:

-Reliable!

-Personable, articulate

-Organized and will be able to multi-task successfully in a fast paced environment

-Know how to handle difficult situations; know how to handle disruptions

-CUSTOMER DRIVEN as this person will be the first face of Amazon for new hires

-Passionate about being helpful, keep positive attitude because they will be doing it over and over.

-Work independently- mostly hosting events by themselves.

-Any staffing or recruiting experience previously

-Experience working with excel or applicant tracking system
